HOW? |
| 1. By repentance and faith: Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 26:20; that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. 2. By believing with the heart and confessing with the mouth: Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. |
WHAT? |
| 1. Salvation is a gift of God, which He freely bestows upon those who turn to Him by faith and accept the finished work of Christ on the cross as the payment for their sin debt. As sinners, we have absolutely no merit to offer to induce God to accept us: Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 2. If you see your need of Christ and are sincerely desiring to receive Him as your personal Lord and Savior, all you need to do is to confess to Him that you are a sinner and ask His forgiveness. If you are sincere in meeting God’s conditions, He will come and dwell within your heart. You will be born again. You then need to unite with a Bible-preaching church so that you can grow in Christ and begin to serve Him. |
